  7. Oh man, late to the argument... ( Throws a shaking fist in the air)

I have to disagree on pricing for my beloved Rudolph. It seems like he is always getting downplayed. As far as I know if I wanted to just go out and buy a used one at the moment... It would cost me 375k for a used one according to MrCDub. I'm game on this as I believe our first Christmas line of Reindeer, our red nosed beauty Rudolph unspawned should be valued at 500k.

That is all... This is my opinion on this and it would seem I've got MrCDub in my corner for pricing.
  8. Don't say that, I wanted to buy another one xD

  9. People are willing to pay 2mil+ for the new Krysyy head. May wanna change that.
  10. Updated, Thank you to everyone that has given input so far :)
  11. Sorry, I wanted to buy another too but I also want the value to be good there as well.

Yeah, High as I've seen anyone asking is 600k but they added a few little promos and such with it.

  13. No matter how much you want to argue, the true fact about promo prices is that there is no set price. If a player went and offered 4 million for an item, then that becomes a valid price check for it. Take any item in existence in the game and offer an over-ridiculous price for it, or deny that price for that matter, and it sets the economy. Every player has the power to control what they believe the value of an item is. That role is not exclusive.

If that doesn't make sense, take this example:
I own a lot of dragon eggs legitimately (since before I had admin powers). Due to having them before I was a senior staff, I am allowed to sell them, if I so choose. I've had players offer me a LOT of rupees for just one (2 million), but I've said no. Those same players go to another player and offer the same amount, but that player decides to sell. Well, the 'assumed promo price' is then what it sold at with 2 million, but here's where it gets tricky. What if the other player did not sell? What if all players with dragon eggs chose to not sell? The result is a drastic increase in the 'assumed promo price' because obviously if it was worth only 2 million, then it would have sold easily...but the idea of personal sentiment and limited quantity is spiking that price sky high arbitrarily. The same goes for every single promo.

I know I don't participate in the economy, but the idea behind promos and value of items is something I am very familiar with. I was one of the first real special item hoarders on EMC. How else do you think I have 2 original dragon eggs? Back then they weren't even able to spawn in a cool ender crystal. They were just something I wanted to have and keep because they were sentimental to me. One was even a Valentine's day present from Moose (back when we were only dating =P). They were something that I had that other players may not have had. That's the whole collector mentality.

So when you are looking at promo prices, it's not possible to have a 'set price'. You can have the price that someone is willing to pay, but that price is fluid based off supply and demand, just as in any economy. Add in the value shift associated with a decreased supply (because people don't want to sell or they were limited in the first place and don't change hands often) and you get the over-inflated market this thread is a large indicator of. Before you argue about whether someone's value of a promo is wrong, know that it can't possibly be wrong if it's different for every single player. One man's trash is another man's treasure. One man's Rudolph is worth 100k, another's is worth 50k. No use in fighting tooth and nail over numbers that are hyperinflated anyway.
  14. Add the Rose Bouquet to the list, worth 6 million
  15. One more to update... Used Prancer should probably be less then the Unspawned one. I just bought a used one for 20k But prior to that I was asking 10k for used. So I'd say 15-20k used. *Prices will always go up but the Prancers will take a little longer since there are so many.
  16. that's a bit overpriced i think
if i'm right there are 10 out there
minus 1 someone burnt on accident
other promos with 10 of them aren't priced at 6mil

now i have to add it is possible you have to ask that much for one
but i would put those really rare items just as 1mil+
because they fluctuate so hard :)
  17. Updated Rose Bouquet.
Anymore promos I am missing from this list? I don't know them all.
  18. The glitched red Marlix stuff for example
I recently invested in some and I'd like to know if it was a good investment...
  19. As far as I know, there are only 9 pair of maxarian shoes too (maybe less) and I've been offered 10-11 mil for mine. A lot of the value comes from the fact people aren't willing to sell them.

Edit: I checked and only six people have claimed to own a pair of the shoes. Not sure what happened to the other three pair.
