Welcome! While I like smp1 better, I agree with this comment: "This is an excellent server!" no matter what server you are on. I've only played minecraft on the PC for about 2 and a half months (us old guys always find out about stuff late) and in my short review of probably 30 different servers, the size, economy, build, add-ons and overall workings of EMC are the best I've found so far.
First: welcome to the Empire, as also mentioned by the others above. Give it time, give it effort, give it love and you may very well see yourself staying here for many years to come. EMC can be a lot, for me it's the only Minecraft server I play on and I'd like to think that's for a very good reason as well. Diamond King eh? The Diamond King? Ha ha ha, sorry, but your name immediately took me back to this one. They even made songs about you (it's actually one of my favourites): There go our diamonds!
