  2. Please do not insult my intelligence by basing an opinion on assumptions.

    I'm certain that staff cannot discuss bans with other players, and that rule goes as far as to a players alt(s), even if you know for sure it's the same player. Because you're not allowed to take the risk that it might actually not be the same player. Ergo: you need to follow these procedures and are not allowed to add or use your own insights in this. And I think that's plain out wrong.

    I personally think that rule only incites more drama, and I base that opinion on what I've seen around me and what I have now also experienced myself.

    I can't get any more direct than that, and I'll leave it here.

  4. Sorry, what? I'm not insulting you here. All I am saying is that said staff member in hand did not know reasons about your ban so couldn't even tell you anyway. Dwight told you that and I've said it several times previously as well.

    If you've got a problem with discussing bans with other players then that's not a procedure I can change, and the only way you can deal with that is by talking to Krysyy.

    I think you've got the wrong end of the stick on what I've been saying here. In no way am I trying to insult you, that would be wrong of me.

  5. No, I'm not saying you're insulting me, it's a phrase. This is nothing personal, I'm only sharing my discomfort about that (IMO) stupid rule.

  6. I think this thread has served its purpose at this point. Any further issues that someone has can be addressed in my inbox.

    One thing to clear up before this is locked. The players involved weren't looking to harm EMC. They were bored and trolling more than anything else. They found an unlocked door to the staff control room and let curiousity and late night shenanigans get the better of them. They crossed the line and hopefully learned their lesson the hard way. This wasn't an attack, just a leak and a troll. We're past it now and back to being our normal amazing server.
