You hold it in your hand and right click. It will then give you a number of gold ingots between 1-64. It can be used once daily.
It can be used once per 24 hours in real life. You can use multiple, though. So if you have 5 pots of gold you can use each one of those once every 24 hours.
Two questions: 1) Do they give gold ingots now? They've given gold nuggets in the past. 2) What is the difference between a used and unused one?
They give gold nuggets, I think. I'm fairly certain cj made a mistake there. Unused ones will always stack with other unused ones. There's no real benefit, but it's nice if you're a collector and want to keep them stacked, I guess. Last time I checked used ones hardly ever if ever (perhaps it has something to do with last amount or next amount given, like you could see what was inside a 300k members chest by trying to stack it) stack. If would use all of mine, I would need multiple chests to store them
