  1. Fountains are pretty but useless.
    You mean fabulous :p?
This could open up new ideas for shops - can you fit a good shop in a 5x5 space? If you claim the 5x5 next to a popular residence, you could make some good money.
Earning money on other peoples work.
    My apologies, but I've downvoted.
  2. Not a bad idea, but I can't think of anyone who would use a res slot for a 5x5 res.
  3. There is no need for 5x5 residences. Besides, they would be ugly.

  4. Is Change.org really necessary for this?
  5. No.
  6. We already allow bridging over and under adjacent lots so I think the idea of allowing us to claim and build in the space in-between Residences as a third lot is a good one. This would allow people to have continuity in a multi-lot build without having to use sandstone.

It seems like the street lots could be reset to their original condition programmatically once they are unclaimed just like the normal lots are reset to Dirt. I think if it were permitted, a prerequisite of claiming one should be that you have claimed the two adjacent lots or are on an edge or corner lot.

I haven't been a big fan of the proposed low population cap on Utopia. I have not kept up with the maximum allowed Residences either, so I do not know if you could claim four lots and the adjoining four streets. I am sure you could with an alt. The center area could be included when someone claims the four connected streets.

This would give someone a chance to acquire an area to build in similar to the large Utopia lots without having to work around street fixtures or be restricted to the low population cap. There is currently a problem with this, where people who have built on Utopia are afraid that they will no longer be able to access their lots when they would like to as non-Supporters and I think this would provide an alternative for those players.
  7. Sorry, but I gotta vote no. I think that a 60x60 res is plenty to build on and display your creativity. If you want to make money from a shop, make one on your res that people want to go to. Setting up a shop outside a popular mall/shop is like scalping at sports games. Not illegal, but something that definitely shouldn't happen. I personally like the fact that between reses so diverse, there is a place where it is regulated and orderly. Plus, the 5x5 plots will make huge eye sores, as people will claim them, swear to use them, then make something terrible in them, or nothing at all. I'm sorry, but I have to vote no. Don't stop with the suggestions though, it shows that you at least care. ;)

  8. I think the fountains could use an update. Making them valid real-estate however? Not so much.
