Well, because I am sick and/or tired of people calling me "crazy," I will change my name. Just for the forums.
Just a thought, on the XenForo forums, when someone changes their username, they get a custom title stating "Formerly X", why doesn't EMC implement something like this? It should be fairly simple to implement (probably as a custom add-on) and with the new user banner features in the recent updates, the users rank and this custom title could be displayed at the same time.
This could easily be overridden. The add-on checks that the user has no custom user title and sets one(either by actually filling out a value in the field, or adding it every time it is retrieved). But in the case that it is inappropriate, a staff member(or the system) removes the title or sets it to something else.
Most people misspell my name so if someone were to change their name to mine and swap the "i" and the "l"'s positions, I doubt anyone would miss a thing!
