If we ever had a completely creative server (which is a possibility, it's just not in the works) I think it'd be very unlikely that it would be supporter only. However, if you're looking for something similar, I heard that you can fly on Utopia if you're a diamond supporter. Utopia acts as our non-vanilla server as it is.
Do we NEED a creative server? Just looking around any town you will find spectacular builds. Not only did your fellow player work hard to build these structures, they worked hard to gain the resources needed for each build. Does that not make them that bit more impressive? Our focus is on being the best survival server. Adding creative would cloud that focus.
I can see your point. But most of the time, those impressive builds you see in town have been pre-planned offline in creative. and almost always the redstone components have been. The difference is, you can't see the planning, as it was done offline. A creative server would allow all players to see the planning, and even help with it in community projects. I don't want this to appear as advertising, just want to impress on how useful a creative server would be here. But I am in the process of creating a private creative server myself for myself and friends to build planned projects together. (or trying to get into one i already know of). It would simply be very nice, very useful to not have to go elsewhere for that.
I do like this idea. I mean as long as it is in no way connected to our current SMP then this will do no harm. This will bring some new players that are into creative building. This will be really useful to me for planning builds and I would definitely get a res on the creative server.
I know. but I wanted to stress how not similar it is. Fly means almost nothing to me. Unlimited instant access to blocks makes a lot more difference lol.
Sorry for the bump but in a way, this CAN work. Reason I change my mind is the following: You don't get EMC plugins in SP such as the teleport sign or shop sign, because of this if you want to make a teleport sign in single player you have to use a command block. You should pay a reasonable price to play on the creative server to get a plot. Supporters can get 1 120x120 (For Utopia) More efficient to build model to replicate for your actual shop. You have to measure out distances in SP for you 120x120 or 60x60 which is annoying.
