smp7 will be launched this weekend

  2. No I am sorry we will not do this on smp7, but I promise we will do that again on the next :) (smp8+ won't be that far away as fast as we are growing)

    The reason I want to skip that is because I want to get the server launched so the people who want to live in the wild that are all waiting for the resets to happen (at least a week away) can have a place they know it won't be reset.

  3. No need to get worked up :) We actually planed on testing a launch using steps in the future, diamond -> gold -> iron -> free. We are just trying different things to see how it goes. One reason for trying to keep the load low is we usually test very new things on new servers and want to step the load up gradually.

  13. No. It's been disabled in all new servers to stop arguments.

    Hey, you need to calm down a bit and realise that Diamond do deserve more perks because they pay more. It's as simple as that.

    It's also a way to encourage people to upgrade to Diamond, thus bringing more income to EMC.

    Iron Supporter level is the bargain-bin Supporter level which was created to give people a chance to join when the servers are full. That's pretty much all it does that's important. I started Iron, realised there wasn't much to it, and went Gold.

    I wont go Diamond because I feel there's not enough in the way of Perks to merit it.

  15. Unfortunately it's not as straightforward as that. MC isn't designed for PvP when it comes to loot so there was a lot of loud dispute over who should have got the eggs.

    Look forward to when the Dragon respawns and everyone can go fight it. :)

    As a new server launches, the sad image of an unblemished wilderness comes to mind. And yes, smp7 will have that! But the Minefield Protection Group is ready to fix that. But we are few, so we need YOUR help! Help us make the area outside the periodic reset area the lovely minefield we know from the existing servers like smp2. Come and dig with us!

  18. It is taking a long time to pre-generate the wilderness areas, looks like the launch will be sometime tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon.
