Why smp6?

  1. People are saying " Why join the server without a warm welcome? " Well, there would be a warm welcome if people would join it!
  2. See, the problem is that first impressions are probably the most important factor that could get someone to stay here. I think that they should have it so that the first two weeks after you join, every time you log in the server recommends a quiet server, a semi-busy server, and a busy server. I live on smp5, and have never left. I enjoy a semi-busy type server, where there is chatter and stuff, but not the nublet chat of smp9 or the constant stream of chat on smp1. If they are going to recommend anything, there should at least be more than one choice. And considering that this is multiplayer, if there is only one choice, I don't think its all that great of an idea to recommend a small population, small event server.

  3. LOTS of peace and quiet where I live (smp2 10k blocks out of spawn)
  4. There should be a totally unbiased list of servers based on what they are like.
    Fun server - Smp2
    Active server - Smp2
    Awesome server - Smp2
Everything else - every other server
I swear this list is totally unbiased.

  5. same for me on smp4. 20,000 blocks away from central spawn! :D
  6. :p

Many comments are going to be posted on a baised view, strictly because it is there home server. Of course, they would vote for there home server because its the main server they go on.

This is a REAL unbiased view.

Smp1: One of the most populated industrious servers. Many mega mall and shops. Good place to go if you want to make quick cash.
Smp2: Great buildings here, and it has a decent amount of players.
Smp3: A economy based server, decent amount of players on this server.
Smp4: Small population, decent amount of buildings and shops.
Smp5: A home server of the mob arena, good buildings, and great shops.
Smp6: A quiet server, good to make other places and not to be bothered. It is a do not disturb kind of server. It has some decent shops.
Smp7: A home wild server, good for hunting and has a friendly community.
Smp8: Another home wild server, friendly community, good welcome here.
Smp9: Another industrious server, populated server, good to start a shop.
Utopia: The friendly community server of other fellow empire minecraft supporters.

Now if you want a baised view, try servers Smp1, Smp6, Smp7, and Smp8. I call these the main friendly servers.

  7. the real version of it
  8. No such thing. I think we should have a month long poll on the "best" server and advertise it in game so that those who rarely come on the forums will log in and vote. Even throw in a rupee gift too. It won't show which is best, but it should show which servers are more populated/active than the others. We can rank the servers on a spectrum, and then base some recommendations off of that. Do this every two months or so, and I think we could get some decent recommendations up there.
  9. It goes like this: there isn't a warm welcome because there are no people because there isn't a warm welcome because there are no people and so on and so on :p
  10. The main point is to populate the servers. We JUST launched in game reg, so its going to slowly grow more now...

Just, yes these first few may be a higher chance of dropping, but with enough new members SMP6 could be filled up more within a week. Also especially the weekend... Expect lots to join this first weekend of IngReg.

Then as SMP6 fills up, we rotate. Sending people to sMP1/9, their first res claim, they are not going to want to start over to move servers. Churn will be a little higher at first, but over time things will balance out.

It only takes like 10-15 people to have enough on to keep chat active and "warm welcomes", were at 8 online right now...

  11. smp6 has the least open residences lol
I'm pretty sure there's not going to be ZERO open residences on smp1/9, or any of the servers for that matter...
  12. No offence, but I personally feel like adding all these site-buttons are becoming eye sores.

It's one thing if you are new to the server and need guides to go to certain sections, or to 'yes, be recommended which smp might need new players'

But I see it as, if you have been a member for such and such days and own a residence the buttons wouldn't need to be visible.

  13. This one is actually temporary. I have some reorganization plans and will move the info else where when that is done...

but, until then, new players need the information.

  14. hmm... in regards to this... you said in another thread somewhere that icontact were helping with the emc design... does this presume that you might try for non-xenforo site options later?
  15. and my friend said 10k and I was crazy...
  16. Emc tries to even out the number of people on each smp. Smp6 just doesnt have many
  17. I don't mind playing on a less pop server. You get closer to a few friends on that server rather than knowing a lot of people on one server just a little. I enjoy smp6.

  18. no, icontact itself isnt helping haha, one of my coworkers is taking on side work to help me. And he doesnt have time for major work
  19. There is no best server. It depends what you like and how you like it. Some people might like super busy places, like Smp1. Some might like it a bit quieter and peaceful. Like Smp3 or 6. It all depends on your taste. If you played on a different Smp more than the other you would like that server a bit more maybe then the other for you because you have spent more time there.

  20. If you are looking for peaceful and busy smp4 is the server for you
