  1. Well you're like ridiculously far out and highly protected its not even worth going there…
  2. Anyone have tips for the lighting? I have a base and it is constantly under attack by mobs because they spawn no matter how many torches I place
  3. Think it is sometimes considered rude to write in old threads but think this could be an exception. Since this thread is to help people with their outposts it only makes sense that more people should see it! Also, it saves someone else the bother of having to go off and make a thread of their own.

For your problem I'd say trying to be more organised and efficient with your torch placing would help. One with three empty blocks before making the next one usually works for me, so you end up having loads of squares with torches in each corner. This gets harder on uneven surfaces, so I recommend either just putting in LOADS in those parts or just fencing up those areas altogether until you get it leveled. Another cool trick I use especially when making buildings or roads out in Wrem is that I use half slabs for the floors. Mobs cant spawn on them, so I save stacks of torches when making large builds, and with the roads I only need to place torches on the sidewalks! Hope this helps with your lighting problem :)

  4. Dean had some great points here. Also, don't forget about jack-o-lanterns. They are easy to make, brighter than torches, and can be placed in floors and walls. I've always considered jack-o-lanterns to be poor man's glowstone. :D
  5. Use the (legal on emc) mod "Mobspawnhighlighter" for placing torches :) Saves u alot of torches and alot of time. Its just great :D

It highlights every block a mob can spawn on with a blue marker/square on top of it(ofc you can easily turn this mod off if it gets annoying)
