Are these new locked chest features good enough to be in EMC?

  1. Hey guys, Stephen here, having ideas to make wilderness locked chests better.

    * If you have permissions to open a locked chest you didn't place, be able to break it. But, the person who made it gets 1000r to reimburse the rupees. And there will not be a rupee duplication glitch in this. If you do this, you can only do it once every 2 days. Take that, modders. I just found a loophole to your loophole.

    * Be able to add a name without removing it. This costs 500r.

    * Be able to lock 2 chests at one time, getting rid of the annoying part. say I have a double chest, then a space in the middle, then another chest above it. If I lock the bottom chest, they will both lock if they aren't locked already. (NOTE: This costs 2000r. No cheating the system, I'm foolproof! >=D)

    * Locking single chests will costs 500r, double chests 1000r.
    * A new chest lock for Ender chests: locking this will allow people to open it, but not able to retrieve their items with this new sign thingamagig.
    * One for town, if you have a container flag on a res and someone does a locked sign, you can't open it even with container. In town, this is 500r.

  2. The part about being able to break someone else's chest you have access to means, you could let other people "steal" the items. So just no on that part >.>
    Some of the other parts wouldn't hurt, and if it were in Town, have it be FREE, because you are not out in the wild :p

    EDIT: This could also come in handy for shops with suppliers!!!

  5. EMC will stick to custom plugins, since it lets us have total control over the plugin, as well as allowing us to keep them as bug free as possible. :)
  6. Why lock enderchests? It's useless. Also, what about everything else you can lock?

    This is a bad idea, this is pretty much a Free Locked Chest.
    Say me and my friend go camping, I lock the chest with me and friends name on it for 1000r, when we get griefed or decide to move further out, my friend can simply remove the sign and I get my 1000r back.

    I do not think this is possible.

    I do not like this idea, I do not think it is that much work to simply clear a space above a chest and place a sign. Not sure if this is possible either.

    I can see somebody cheating the system by placing a single chest, locking it then placing a double

    I dislike this seeing how it does you no damage if somebody were to simply take out their own items using your enderchest. Maybe if it just allows the chest to not get destroyed by others.

    Good idea, it would have to be free though like what other people said.

  8. I don't care if people use them, but I have had Enderchests stolen in the Wild. Locking them would stop that.

    I also could see a use for editing a Locked sign but for what it would probably take to do it code-wise, we might as well break then re-Lock it.

    Wild Protections will go a long way towards solving the problem anyway so I'd rather see the time invested on doing that.

  11. Yeah, in town probably free.

    And no, you can't cheat the system. I would implement it so you can't place a chest next to it. It would say, You can't do this because it's locked even to the sign placer.
  12. Maybe have two minutes to replace the sign after you break it?
    This would be nice if the sign is full, the other players on that sign are banned, and you want to add someone new.
    With a few changes, a few of these would be nice.
