the removed herobrine thing originates from the removal of a old mob called "monster" which was the normal player model some of the code is still in the game but it won't work without mods
Actually, Notch did that for the other people. Somebody made up a character called "Herobrine" to scare people into not playing Minecraft. After a while, Notch said "Removed Herobrine" to make people less scared of the game and play again.
Are you quite sure of that? Some people say he his a ghost code, written by another person, but, only appears when the code is downloaded through pop ups and ads, that kind of things. Then after seeing Herobrine, and closing out of the world he was in, the code is deleted. Look it up... Though, it is tough to find with all the "Ghost" internet search pop ups #belatedaprilfoolsyo
I have no idea where you got that from, but that is completely wrong and against the whole story of Herobrine. There is no such thing as ghost code, and if, Herobrine was downloaded through a pop up ad, the code would be in the form of a class and you would have to download it manually. Minecraft is also incapable of deleting code that didn't belong to the world you deleted.

It's just a running joke, he has never even existed. Even if someone did see something like another player, it would just be a glitch.
Herobrine is real, otherwise there wouldn't be like a billion players with his skin on... He's a part of each, and every one of you.. YOU are Herobrine. D=
What I originally heard was that he was Notch's dead brother IRL, and somebody decided that it would be a fun joke to say that 'he saw herobrine' in the game, to mess with notch. He never existed.... except for the fact that he has been in multiple youtube animations... and youtube animations are ALWAYS EXACTLY like the game... and if it is ALWAYS EXACTLY like the game... then that means that Herobrine IS in the game... and herobrine has 3 sets of 3 in it... that's 2 of the same number.... and 3 x 2 is 6... and the other 3 (from the 3 sets of 3), 6 x 3.... 6 6 6. THEREFORE: Herobrine is the DEVIL. No but really, in all honesty, It's just a joke from Mojang.
