  1. Just watch this video...

    What the heck is wrong with putt putt... I have never heard of that. Plus they are suing because players made maps, and they are saying Minecraft uses the trademarked name...
  2. I can hardly understand what there saying..

  3. So to complain about people making golf courses in Minecraft PC version they sent threats to;
    Notch (No longer in charge of the PC version)
    4J Studios (Who make the Xbox version)
    And Don Mattrick (The former boss of Interactive Entertainment at Microsoft)

  4. Yep, and they address it to Mojang AB, which they did not send a threat to.
  5. Well, he does own Mojang at least, but still..
  6. Some people are not the brightest.
  7. True, but he doesn't even work on minecraft anymore.

  9. Watch out, the battle is coming.
    The end is nigh.
    The future is in the balance.
    The past changed.
    The present...
  10. Let's see:
    Another lawsuit might be in Mojang AB's future.
    11,240,442 and counting people PLUS members of Mojang AB vs. Putt Putt....

    Putt Putt might be off the face of the world soon...
    Never liked them anyway.
  11. What they are suing over is the use of the name "Putt-Putt" which is a registered trademark name.

    Think of it this way, All Putt-Putt courses are mini golf, but not all mini golf courses are Putt-Putt. Oddly enough the Putt-Putt company is suing for the right reason, but what they don't understand is that Mojang is not the one doing the trademark infringement, it's the server's that are hosted as "Putt-Putt" (that have no affiliation with Mojang and therefore are not controlled by Mojang) that are doing the trademark infringement.

    So they are suing for the right reason, just not suing the right people.

  12. They could challenge them to a game to settle it lol
  13. xD That would be super funny.

  15. I think in light of this ima make a putt putt hole

    How does this make it bad for putt putt. If anything it shows their brand mark to thousands of people
  16. It's the use of the brand name that they are bothered with.
    The players could have used names like mini golf or crazy golf instead.
  17. yea i get it but common this is little big planet all over agin, why are so many peoples quick to sue without finding out the actual people at fault, if anything it gets their name bigger and doesn't hurt them
  18. Sadly, the laws on it never see it that way.
    The name of Putt-Putt itself is trademarked and copyrighted material and people can't use it without permission.
  19. So you're telling me that in 10 years, if I open a mini-golf course, I can't name it "Christian's Crazy Putt-Putt"? ;-;
  20. This makes me think of this. WARNING LANGUAGE!:
