There isn't really an exact number, however, some species require more views than others in order to hatch..

(I dunno if that's true or not) Anyways, clicksites would likely be your best bet on hatching your eggs. I recommend putting your eggs on 2 clicksites, though, I usually put my eggs on 3. http://bit.ly/aeNDIf Anyways, about how much clicks a egg gets to hatch.. I'm pretty sure it's always random. Heck, both of my vampire dragons hatched at 1k clicks, but my daydream dragon took about 2.5k clicks to hatch. Now, an update on my dragon. My "yoshi" dragon has almost hatched! YAY! It's even only at 1k clicks. So random..
If you add the FAQ I've linked in the previous page, the miniguide will be complete. BTW it's not clicks but views what make your eggs hatch, what your eggies have are 1k views there's some math behind the number of unique views (one per IP) and overall views (one IP can give unlimited of those. If your egg has too many overall views compared to unique views, it will most likely need more overall views to hatch. It's not completely random, but simply having them in the clicksites does the trick.

Don't forget that some dragons have BSA = Breed Specific Actions. The BSAs can help you with your dragon's growth and breeding. For example, the Red Dragon has the Incubate action. Where the Red Dragon will keep your egg warm allowing it to hatch faster. ~Kia

I think that dragcave should make a bread and meat dragon, then they could all have a summon BSA to summon an sandwich dragon.
I've had those moments.. Yes, one time I missed a cheese.. One time, I missed a yoshi.. And.. Funny story! When I got my recent yoshi egg, I'm pretty sure it was 2 yoshi drops! But, I was egg-locked... -.-
All of the Dinos have basically the same text, something about "looking like it doesn't belong" or something like that..
