  1. Off-topic, but how is that like CoD?
  2. this isnt something most people here will need to worry about

as said, its simply a way for mojang to host your servers for you... cept its vanilla... who wants that :p

  3. cept its vanilla... with a 4 person limit...

Seriously, who in their right mind would buy that?

  4. For half the price they seem to intend charging, you can get a Bukkit server with enough RAM to hold at least 6 people, that needs next to no setup except paying and pressing the ON button on Multicraft...
  5. Like I was saying before, the host that I went through charges $1.19/slot per month. 4 slots is only about $4.76/month and you can make it private and whitelist it and everything.. Realms seems to want to charge 2x-3x that.. <,< ..And sadly they will probably have similar server specs..

  6. I think Mojang have more than realised that, they are just replied to the right audience.
The audience which doesn't/can't/want to be bothered with servers specs and the like.
Appealing to the right audience is the way to go.

  10. Its just to set up a server through Mojang. If you want them to, they can become Roblox, and add a bunch of features into the game, and then add new "levels" of Minecrafters that you can buy to use them.
  11. I beg to differ

  12. Sigh... knew it would happen. Mojang, don't expect any more money from me. I can only imagine what's next for the 8-year-olds of Minecraft!
LOLZ U NO HAZ REALMZ U SUK U NO TRU MC PL8R
  13. Mojang hasn't went over to the dark side, apart from a few things here and there, it's perfectly fine.
  14. That essentially means plater lol

  15. Where does it say that it will be 4 player max?
4 is not enough, my family alone would need 8 :)
I think $2-$3 per player and month for a matrix of professionally
maintained and connected servers / worlds is not too much.
  16. "new map packs" come with known bug fixes basically you are paying for an early update
