The point about the gaming dyeing when they cut the servers is a good point, so hopefully they will have a patch which adds a real singleplayer
I will also take the time to leave these links here, worth the read; Game cuts out after "minutes" of internet loss: Servers EA have closed: Also, I apologise if these are coming across anti-EA or anything, but I though I should raise some points
Stupid that you have to be connected to the internet to play! Considering how much money EA make, I'm sure it would not hurt them to spend a little bit of time and money on better customer support and better backup systems for when servers go down.
Honestly without the internet, games like Battlefield 3 and the newest NFS would be rendered almost useless, considering how both are basically focusing on the multiplayer/social aspect of the game.
I loved the previous SimCity games and was looking forward to this release. After I heard that one has to have a constant connection to the internet even in single player made the game less appealing for me... Looks like a lot of people are having problems with the game and EA's service. I have this game, and really enjoyed it. I had almost beat it, but then it froze and all my memory corrupted.....so I rage quit that for a couple months now
Well, I just lost any and all interest in buying this game. Thanks for posting the video, and a big *CENSORED* to all companies that make use of DRM. Especially DRM as invasive as this one.
Now because MBA told me about Btribble, AKA, the now second (Sorry, I can't give away the title of first ) legit person on EMC, who just happens to work for Maxis, got me a new code! It turns out that my other code was used the account my dad pre-ordered it from, so I'll save the new code until my dad sees if he can remember his account. If not, I'll use the new code. Thanks Btribble!
