[Entity Limits] Try to break it!

  1. It says if I want to make my own mods there ... that i'll need to upload using Java 5 ... would i be able to upload it? i'm running on Java 7 ... or would my coding software ...like jGRASP or NetBeans IDE 6.9.1 ... or Alice be able to upload different types? ... cause I have a few things i've been trying to work on and was wondering.
  2. Checked some of the code out myself - Noticed a few things that I found strange, left a comment on one of them haha :p

  3. I'm not sure if this has been posted but:

    • Probably is true and not a bug, however my double blaze grinders entity count is roughly at 337/200 when it stops whereas before it was 201-206/200.
    • Also, when I kill all the mobs, go back to AFK spot the mobs don't spawn unless I dc/rc. I'm guessing that this is because the system still thinks that the mobs are there.

  6. Definitely happening. I'll get screenshots of the 337 entities - also, I don't think dc/rc fixes it. I have to move around, out of range, then dc/rc

  8. My blaze grinder is also behaving differently from 2 days ago. Before the /entcount would show between 40 and 60 monsters when I arrived at the empty grinder (pigmen and ghast I assume), and when the grinder would stop with an /entcount of just over 200 monsters (203 was the most I ever see).

    Now when I arrive at the empty grinder /entcount shows between 80 and 140 monsters (again pigmen and ghast I assume), and when the grinder stops /entcount shows a lot of extra monsters (257 the current maximum).
  9. What about about your pets... If you left them at someone else's res while you updated it. Will they be stuck at that res forever?

    Yes

    You can ask the owner to egg them for you and return them (which considering if you trusted the person to leave your pets on their res... they should hopefully do it for you).

    Theres no way to know the owner of an animal other than where its at when the server/chunk is loaded. So making animals be able to follow you just won't work.

  12. I would still recommend containing your animals. Doesn't have to be as extreme though

  14. I personally don't want 50 Sheep running around the Teleport location of my residence. It is up to you though ;)

  15. So, they teleport to the teleport location? Aaaargh, all my animals will end up at the top of my mall!!! :eek:

  16. Yes, the idea being most people shouldn't want them there so it gives incentive to contain them :p
