Final Farewell

  1. I would just like to point out my side here so I don't seem like Mr. Bad Guy, haha. Aikar and Max have been doing SO much behind the scenes for months now without even asking, things that are making EMC better beyond what is expected as any moderator. It has nothing to do with just "creating advertisements". The reason that I had to let you go Green, was for your protection and EMC's. Anytime a moderator for any community is IN IT to become promoted, it becomes very dangerous. You were literally getting ANGRY that you didn't have more powers like flying in a volunteer position in a game. When a game makes you angry, it's time to step back, especially if it's angry you don't have powers over other players.

    In one of your "rants" you stated: "Since I haven't reached my goal since March (of Sr. Staff) I've been on less and less." Being on less and less isn't something a Sr. Staff would do, regardless of position, they're in it to help, no matter what. If EMC just isn't in you anymore that's fine, but all of the moderators do as fine a job as you do. Not everyone needs Sr. Staff position because of it.

    Now, trust me, I feel horrible for your depression and your breakup. I went through both when I was younger as well, and I understand that pain and how it can affect a person. I do hope you take whatever time you need to recover from those. I won't however apologize for taking an action that not only protects you from doing something you don't want to do, but the community from experiencing what could be a "meltdown" from a moderator who's going through personal issues and shouldn't be moderating.

    Best of luck in the future, and hopefully we'll see you around when things are looking up again.

    I know what is like, going through a breakup. I feel your pain.

  18. First of all do yourself a favor and edit something out of that paragraph.

    Second, I am also dissappointed that Justin has been gone for this long, I thought he was supposed to be back 16 days ago...

    I don't know where you are living ?Twilight Zone? but Jeremy still answers every question that I have seen... It is simply overwhelming the amount he gets per day. If you feel like you are being ignored - don't feel that way. Your message just got lost somewhere - bump it. I recently got very confused/concerned the other day from a simple mis-communication issue because the message simply got lost.

    It was about time that some promotions were given to relieve the workload Jeremy and shaun get. Who received these promotions - of course can be up for debate, but I just hope that no more feelings are hurt by this...

  19. There has been warnings, many post mentioned we wanted to figure out a way to make it possible for everyone to fight the dragon, and this thread, while vague in the exact wording, does mention we were looking into it:

    That thread has been up for a while now.

    As for your other post, I'll let ICC respond mainly... but please don't jump to conclusions about promotions without knowing the facts. ICC will post soon. Max's relationship with me had nothing to do with her promotion. She is doing other things to help EMC grow outside of basic moderating, and will be taking on A LOT more tasks for helping EMC grow now.

    They were not picked because they are together. Maybe you're not this old, but Aikar AND Max are and always have been mods, even before they KNEW each other. Guess what, the met here, and fell in love. I think that's awesome. Don't try and ruin something awesome with these unbased remarks. Because of their hard work, they were going to be here no matter what, even if they still were just co-mods. They just HAPPEN to be together as well.



    He was a fantastic mod and I won't disagree with that. However, due to IRL issues or something else I don't know, he's become more inactive and focused on having more powers than actually just trying to help. It's better for him that he goes out on top being a good mod, then messing up and having a bad view of him.





    This is just downright incorrect. I have answered every single question you've ever sent me within, usually minutes, but if not, within that day. Why would you say this? Please bump a question if I missed it, but I'm 99% sure I haven't missed one.



    Justin does way more than EMC than you seem to know. When was the last time you maintained 10+ 24/7 servers from the backend? When did ever wake up at 2:00AM taking away hours from your only 4-5 hours of sleep before work to make sure people can play Minecraft when the servers messed up? I'm sorry, but I'm just kind of upset that someone would bash his efforts like that.



    This is a double edged sword. First there's complaints that we don't add enough features, now you're complaining that Aikar is taking time out of HIS life to make more features for a game you get to PLAY? Really?



    Please don't make false posts. This is inaccurate. Read the posts regarding the dragon egg before posting false statements.



    It seems that updates and new features aren't what you're looking for in a MC server. It might be time for you to look at what you want out of Minecraft. If you want pure vanilla and nothing to ever change, EMC will not be for you. We plan on adding a large handful of new things to EMC that no other server has over the upcoming months (some things we haven't even talked about yet). ;)

    I'm sorry you feel this way and that my post was so forward, but I really dislike seeing the hard working staff here get disrespected for all they do for YOU.
