Hi, it's me again! I got a Nintendo Switch Lite last week, and I'd like to add friends from EMC. My friend code is 7332-5015-5437 (I'm assuming there are no spammers on Switch, and I can safely share that? ). You can send me a friend request if you'd like (if you have a different name on the system than on here, let me know so I know who you are), but please also share your own code, so other EMC members who find this thread can send you a friend request if they want. There probably aren't that many gamers here, but I know for sure there are more EMC members who do have a Switch than I currently have sent a friend request. Edit: I have got some spam through the month, so I've edited out the 'SW'. Let's see if it makes it stop.
Since posting this I got a few friends from EMC added, but none via this thread. Are there any more who would like to post here?
After the release of Animal Crossing and having more free-time at home due to the Corona situation, I wanted to buy a Switch. However the prices recently skyrocketed and many online stores are out of stock. I guess I have to wait a bit longer for a reasonable price The Kirby game also looks fun, I really enjoyed the GBA version.
Oh, really? That's interesting. Have you checked the physical stores close to you? It's good to support them, now especially. What Kirby game? I tend to find Kirby games too easy, and often also find the level design lacklustre. I enjoyed Kirby's Adventure though, which I also played in its GBA remake Return to Dream Land.
Added! I also suddenly had a new friend, "Mr Smiles", whom I didn't recall adding, but I suppose that's ChespinLover?
I would love to, but everything non essential except groceries stores and pharmacies are closed here. Yesterday, they announced new plans to open some other stores with strict rules again. I played Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land till 100% and Kirby & the Amazing Mirror till 99% and I have no idea what I'm still missing. Maybe I forgot to go through one door from both sides? They are not the hardest, but I still enjoy them I like the ability to swallow all enemies and gain their powers. And the animations are cute
Ah, interesting. Here it's mostly clothes stores that are closed, but even some of those are open. Oh, and nearly all restaurants and such are closed, I bet, but I never go to those anyway. But that's not very relevant to this thread, of course. Ah, I do agree with that! I don't care too much about the animations, though. I found the music fairly lacklustre sometimes. The music in the original Kirby's Dream Land is great, but it has seemed to me sometimes that all music in other Kirby games is either pretty dull or a remix of one of the original themes. Oh! With one exception: Kirby's Epic Yarn, by Tomoya Tomita. That is an amazing soundtrack! Haven't played the game, though, but I played its spiritual successor: Yoshi's Woolly World, which is my favourite video game of all time. Anyway, it is my birthday soon and I have on my wishlist "a fun game for the Switch", but I think I'd greatly help my mother by creating a little list. Especially as most Nintendo games (the ones that my brother knows I like) are €60, and I have as my main wish another item that likely gets expensive, especially including shipping costs (it's quite a niche object; I will make a thread about it if I get it!). So I'll see if I can find some good physical games that aren't that expensive. It's unfortunate most cheaper games don't get released on cartridge, or only by Limited Run. :/ It is understandable, though.
Haha, my parents would have no idea what to get me by the description "a fun game for the Switch" I saw a Let's Play from Luigi's Mansion 3 that I enjoyed watching Indeed, Yoshi games are also the best. Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island was a really fun play! That's one of my problems (besides the moonprices for the console atm) with the handhelds: The game prices are very high and there are no sales I'm aware of like Steam does sometimes for PC games. Now I'm really looking forward to reading your thread, it sounds exciting what you wished for
I think there are sales on games for Nintendo consoles, actually. I'm not sure on how frequent they are and how many games they apply to, though, because I'd rather have physical games anyway and of course the sales don't apply to those.
I'm sure some people from EMC have got a Switch since I posted this thread, as sales have been great. So bump! Please let me know if you send me a request, as I still get spam sometimes.
