We have more important things to talk about than a temporary crash. I hope it is temporary I think we have the chance to make the EMC wilds a better place to settle. There is a community inspired by us starting on smp4 I just saw. So having teams of people like the Deltas or MinerCo. that operate cross server and support is a really good thing. Each community will come up with their own rules or leaders if they want to. So for our outpost nothing will change there. We should talk about building embassies soon tho
I'm all for teaming up as long as it doesn't end up in a "take over" I like outpost how it is. But the way things sounded in an overheard conversation it's a bit unclear to me and I don't fully understand what is being said here. The conversation I heard sounded as if more Delta members are expected to come to the Outpost and then some huge plan is going to be put into place and there be some take-over and we have to abide by their rules. I prefer the freedom of how things currently are though. How will DT contribute: So if you supply this stuff and things don't work out will we listen to you whine "Oh we supplied you with things, we want our stuff back." "You guys are nothing but thieves"? We already agreed that there WON'T be staff why is this word still being used?

Maybe you heard about a master plan. This is more like an outline and emergency plan (like in case of a wild reset) https://sites.google.com/site/emclastlightoutpost/master-plan I don't think that will happen. As far as I get it it means trading not giving a bunch of stuff and then claiming territory. I think the post applies to all kinds of communities. As we do not have formal stuff just read it as "all active members" / "all citizens of the outpost".
The master plan is also an outline on how we can expand the community and make sure it does not end up overrun with ruins.
PS: I think we should be open to partner with other communities just like we are open to new members. There won't be a takeover. We got active members, a clearly visible territory and even a site. We have said we do not want leaders or formal staff. So every act of tyranny will be griefing. Worst case would be a rival community (if such a thing would exist) would start building right at our border. Since the wild is so fast I doubt there will be a real dispute over territory so we won't have to worry about that. So not much can go wrong in a partnership from my point of view. To the contrary: The more people have a part in the outpost as well and the better connected we are the less likely is some intentional griefing. [/rant]
Thanks for your feedback, actually it's normall to expect stuff back when you give as much as we are planning to give, we won't be asking like "HEY YOU HAVENT PAID YOUR FEE YET" it's something we just spect from the leaders, why? well, we will be kicking off a project with enough matterials to make a town, for players and from players. I'm shure that as soon as the town it's ready, it will be auto-suficient to work fine and that resources won't be more a problem, so we would love to use those matterials for other colonies that might need them, for other colonies on upcoming servers, for community projects and such, i'm a man that doesn't care about money (just pass-by my residence to guess how much time and money i have spent on DT) and what i'm looking forward is for a way to manage colonies around all the servers that can be counted as centers for people to have fun and mine together. Also, the word staff is used in the Delta Team as a rank division, we won't be putting any of this at the current outpost we will just work with the people and not the creations/outpost itself. <-- (had to clear that out because it seems like people it's scared about it) but yes at new colonies that will be leaded by people that are currently in the outpost. What we want is not to mess with the outpost, is to ask for leaders to start new colonies on other servers. As stated before (even by zulu) no1 is going to take over the outpost, this is something we won't even be allowed by the people (even if we wanted, which we don't) in there.
Right. Involving some procedures when and how to take town abandoned stuff, a creeper emergency taskforce and such things. I like to think of it as civil services.

This is what I mainly have in mind with partnerships. Some colonies might have working farms where people can easily gather resources and bring it to others to spawn new towns.
I love discussions here, in no other place i write with such conclusion and so proud of what i'm making. Yes, we should start talking about embassies here, people will move around cross-server working on different colonies if they desiser and the colonies will be run by the member of the outpost (and Delta Team current members, obviously) and other people that want to become part of this. I just had a random idea. Should we have another small Last Light Outpost further from spawn which we can turn into a mega mine. I can sell the materials and buy stuff for the community with the money.
