All, It's another holiday season, and another rough few months coming for the PWU crew as we attempt to keep the public wild builds and transport repaired from people breaking through floors and walls in their quest for Super Turkeys (and next month, we'll presumably have Blizzards). I wanted to point out that breaking blocks at someone else's build while tracking down a Turkey is STILL GRIEFING. We will sadly wind up bugging the mods for some of this. At the moment, we are simply repairing it because it hasn't gotten bad (yet). As a PSA folks, don't get so excited over a Turkey that you damage someone else's build please. You can GO AROUND, and in the rare cases you really can't reach it, don't sweat it. There are TONS of Turkeys. They are hardly rare and they aren't worth getting a ban over. You can also try using chorus fruit and ender pearls to get around things. Thank you
So much this. There really is no need to hunt 'm around PWU to be honest (my opinion) and quite frankly I think we shouldn't. And in case players don't believe what we're saying (why would new players, they know everything, right? )... I'd like to point your attention to a post from AyanamiKun dated 19th of June (this year). We found a super turkey at that time (June) while the whole event was, like now, the Thanksgiving season last year. So we found a turkey (which is now our pet) 7 months after date. There's plenty of turkey for everyone, honest
Lots of these builds pre-date /buildmode and use blocks that were not auto-protected (smooth stone, logs, etc). I am still waiting for SS to contact me about paying for protection for them because they are not an official claimed outpost (too close to wild N).
