  1. Yes, Minecraft.net is down (chances are due to an update). No, that doesn't mean we need 2096302 topics about it so please don't spam the forums up with these. They're a pest and dont help anyone.

    Current Status:
(This will update automatically - you might have to wait a few seconds for the icon to appear)

YOU CAN STILL LOGIN AND PLAY BY CLICKING HERE. IF YOU HAVE MODS INSTALLED, LOOK AT THIS TOPIC'S 2ND PAGE.
  2. how do you do that "offline" thing?
  3. Is there any way around this, spout? Or another client?
  4. It's powered by Spout.org.
  5. Login with you details, when it says cant connect click the 'play offline' button which is under 'try again'
  6. cool ok whats that?
  7. In theory no since all clients use Minecraft.net's login servers. However, I've heard somewhere that the play in brower option works so try that (I haven't so no guarantees).
  8. make a link please...
  9. I can't use the browser cause my computers too slow to get java to work :(
  10. ehhh well i need to go so don't try and talk to me Ba BYE
  11. They make a special plugin for Bukkit (Minecraft server software) which allows lots of extra features along with a client which enables those features. The online/offline icon exists out of chance really, it's not part of what they normally do.
  12. I can confirm in browser minecraft works.

  13. That's a shame :( One thing I can advise is that if you have a 64 bit computer, make sure you're using 64 bit Java. That might fix it.
  14. As good a game as minecraft is, the login and session servers are too unreliable
  15. To be fair, it is a holiday in Sweden today so that may be the cause of the problem. But I agree, they need better servers.
