This is just a reason for more newb players to want more useless items. All items serve a purpose. What would the purpose of fireworks be? They just want more overpowered stuff that will never be implemented. BTW, he used 1 period in that giant paragraph.
No, cause obsidian is plentiful. you can't make a diamond generator but u can make a obsidian generator. And since u need diamond to mine obsidian, obsidian would be better.

That's like saying we can't have wood tools or stone tools because they are plentiful. Yes, obsidian tools would be better, but so what? Also, you'd still need that diamond pickaxe to get at your generated obsidian, so what's the problem?
I think he's trying to say that if they ARE implemented that their 'stats' should be affected by the following. a) You need a diamond pick to mine them. b) It's plentiful and easily made through a generator.. I don't think he's saying we SHOULDN'T have them, he might just be pointing out some possibilities if it is implemented.
Yes but wood is a required material. Obsidian is a decorative material. Diamond isn't essential either but it is useful. EDIT: And secret is right, i never said we should have them (I'd honestly like obsidian armor) but i am not liking the stats that would come with it.

I really hate the false properties of obsidian in MC. Teaches people the wrong message. If it were up to me, (and it's not) obsidian would have the same blast resistance as dirt and be mined a little quicker than stone. Obsidian isn't some super-hard, extremely resistant substance. It's glass. Sure, it's more like plate glass or something, in that it isn't that easy to punch through, but it would definitely not hold up to 12 seconds of diamond pickaxe. I understand it is meant to be a super material, but it leads people to believe that it is the hardest material in the world. So here's my two cents as to what an obsidian tool would be, compared to others: Obsidian isn't a very good crafting material... except it would make a really baller sword.
U can alredy carry more stuff than any normal humon. Try carrying even 1 cobblestone block any distance in real life. In minecraft u can carry stacks n stacks of them.
I don't like the idea of super tools or anything, but as far as different building materials, I'd be super-interested. Like gilded stone, or sky brick (I'll let your imaginations tell you what each of those would look like)
