  1. (I found this somewhere, dont remember quite where, so I cannot give full credit)
These are some tips on how to write better in case you need them.

    1. Avoid Alliteration. Always.

    2. Prepositions are not words to end sentences with.

    3. Avoid clichés like the plague. They’re old hat.

    4. Comparisons are as bad as clichés.

    5. Be more or less specific.

    6. Writers should never generalize.

    Seven: Be consistent!

    8. Don’t be redundant; don’t use more words than necessary; it’s highly superfluous.

    9. Who needs rhetorical questions?

    10. Exaggeration is a billion times worse than understatement.
  2. This just hurts my head... Why would you do this... :(
  3. Tip: Number 10 is wrong, In writing you exaggerate. When you exaggerate the story gets more exciting or interesting. Understatement makes the story boring...

Why:There are no rules in writing why did you do this!!! Writing should be fun and creative and not set by rules!!

  4. I don't think you quite understand it - the way it is written is meant to be in a joke-like/sarcastic way :p
  5. Yeah, but even if he didn't get it what he says makes sense. This list is a joke and all, but the rules themselves are not. They're real and he doesn't agree with there being rules (more like tips) on how to write.

  6. I think that you just answered this for yourself - they aren't rules, but some of these can be taken as tips. Of course, there's lots more tips on how to write, and it depends what you're writing as well, but you can see what I was trying to say. :)

  10. If there weren't any rules to writing, you'd get stories with walls of text written in text language ;)
  11. Well if everything would be with rules most of EMC players would be in EMC prison...

  15. But writing has rules, you'll find out this in more detail in I think seventh and ninth grade and definitely learn it in college if you go into the Writing field.

  16. I am in 8th Grade English and yes there are rules in English but the best stories come from no planning or rather less planning but then of course to perfect the stories there are rules then.
