There's really nothing wrong with someone wanting to emulate EMC on their own server. They could be doing it as a means to learn about the technology, whether it's how to build a minecraft server or how to use linux or whatever. I did this very thing a year ago and was able to learn quite a bit. It doesn't mean that a person is trying to create another EMC though because EMC is more than just a bunch of plugins and coding... it would take a monumental effort and a lot of luck for a person, even if they were able to emulate EMC from a technical standpoint, to truly emulate the full EMC experience because it's not easy to gather the number of players EMC has nor the desire they have to form a community. just sayin'
