I usually mine the Quartz in the waste nether with a picaxe (silk touch)! After a few stacks of ore is accumulated, then straight to the enderchest it goes! Then from time to time, fortune 3 the stuff, to make quartz blocks... but I usually just keep it as ore. Grats on a DC of it!
I was strip mining mostly and when my inventory was full I through out the cobble to make way for the ores...so there was quite along line of cobble xD
If you leave the cobble in a hidden chest and give me the coordinates I will pay you 20r/stack for it.
Usually my adventures into the wastelands bring about 11 stacks of sand with the 3 iron shovels that I bring along, if it's a mining trip, I almost always bring back at least 1/2 a stack of redstone dust, maybe a few diamonds on a good day. I always end up in a fight with the terrors (monsters) of the wastelands at night. I always bring back a EMC item like Zombie Viruses and such, maybe shiny flesh on a good day. I sell all those items my buddy shavingfoam! He lives just 2 residences south of The Wooden Fortress (my shop)!
