Yes this is a problem I have with my railway that leads directly to town. Someone stole all of my redstone lamps i had installed and broke a few of the rails. I have to repair them though, as it leads to my outpost which is public. *hint hint*
Apparently if you buy 100 vault pages you can use /vault in the wild. But I've heard it was removed/disabled.
I started to mine more in frontier for my work. just because it's running up and down. But i mine in invisible way so the outside landscape keeps nice. also fix landscape that looks broken because differnt versions. How bigger the distance to town how harder it is to mine in waste what i still do. But with building something like guardian farm you keep lot's of fresh resources to store for later use.
