  1. Databases are a collection of single tables... Square is just a tool to read/modify the data.

    The biggest is chat of course.

  2. Ah, ok. And uh, no offense, but... I barely get what a database is... Other than that it's like storage for data :p >.<

  3. Thats pretty much exactly what it is hah.

    Just, different databases offer you different tools and methods for USING the data. Like storing data into a file or a .csv can 'technically' be considered a database, but are very slow for large amounts of data.

    So its pretty much an entire job career just knowing how databases work, what types exist, which one is the best for the job you need to use it for, and understanding how to design and lay out the structure of the data.

    Think of 'tables' as just seperate files, where each row of data is a new line in the file. But with proper database systems, it doesn't store it like that, but much more effeciently, so it can be looked and retrieved much much faster :)
