Another man's dirt shack might be another man's castle... Staff and players shouldn't be voting for residences to be in a new world based on the best architecture because what they see in a build might be different to what another person sees. That being said, doing what Eclipsy's did and creating the Golden Empire is a cool thing to do.
One of my favourite things about EMC is that the staff don't play favourites, and everybody is treated with the upmost equality. This idea would completely destroy that feature.
