[Suggest] Allow compass 2 be used in nether

Discussion in 'Suggestion Box Archives' started by AyanamiKun, Nov 16, 2017.

  1. u cant set compass in the nether but u can still use /loc 2 see where u are and where the compass is going. we have /map so why cant we use the compass? especially b/c the coords are still showing.

so i suggest 2 allow us setting the compass in nether & end too. its more difficult than using it in overworld, but the coords are still useful, esp when ur building stuff.

  2. Use the f3 coordinates
  3. That doesn't keep track of a target destination though ;)

  4. Fairly sure this is a clientside restriction that cannot be bypassed.

  5. True, actually pointing the compass in the right direction is, but using the commands isn't.

From what I understand the idea is to merely allow the command to be used so that you can then rely on /loc to actually find your way (basically as a reminder of your target location). Optionally together with f3 I suppose.
  6. actually, the real prob. is that if u die in the nether ur compass resets to ur death point. so it changes anyway.

and thats extremely annoying when ur trying 2 dig a nether tunnel back to spawn ^.^

but if it changes anyway then why shouldnt we be able 2 change it too?
