[Selling] Res 505

It's pretty easy to check if someone has the res by going there and doing /res info lol
And also staff have access to chat logs so if that did happen where someone didnt pay they could easily trace it down and solve the problem

That's not always the case, though... if someone selling the res - and someone claiming/buying the res made the agreement on a voice chat... etc ...and unclaimed it, no one would know the agreement ever happened.

If someone else comes and claims it - all that would be visible to the staff is the logs of unclaiming and claiming...

If you think about it in a retrospective sense ... Someone could 'sell' a res - and someone else (not the buyer) comes in and scoops up the res (unknowingly working along side the former owner)... if no records of chat logs were found of an agreement, yet money was given ... the person wouldn't have to give the money back, and in a sense just got free rupees (scamming)

Or if chat logs weren't found and someone came in and grabbed the res out in the middle of a trade agreement... The new person has every right to keep it...

Not saying that's how it always turns out, but it is a possibility - and that's why it's not 'recommended' without a staff member knowing prior to doing so, of the buying of reses.
