Better to carry out the drop party anyway if you have any donated items. If you cancel the drop party you need to figure out who donated items and return them as they can't be kept. If that's not done and the items are retained then those who donated could potentially file a report with staff for scamming. So my personal recommendation is to move forward as scheduled regardless of the number of donations. You don't need massive quantities of stuff or high value prizes to have a drop party; I've seen drop parties, and even ran one myself a long time ago, that only had a DC of items to give away. Just go out there and have some fun interacting with the community.
