No, probably not. I have been following Minecraft news since 1.3 snapshots (and been playing since Beta 1.8.1), and also often looked up things from the past. I also did that on EMC, but I only started on EMC during the 1.5 snapshots.
I had to vote yes... I started playing minecraft just a bit after Christmas earlier this year. I found EMC in the first 3 weeks I have played so I have learned both as I went. I have been active in trying to learn about minecraft in and out of game but also about EMC, the servers, community, rules, players, options and economy. In the end, while I believe it is close, I think I have spent more time learning about EMC and the options and economy over the game. Both need a 101 course that's all I know.
