   I started playing on this server a few weeks ago and didn't come back on after that until recently. My items were still there, but i seem to no longer have a residence.
   
   I know it gets reset if I'm not on for a while, but i don't know any way of starting over? If anyone could just tell me how i can restart and get a new residence then i will happily start over.

   You can do /res open to find a new one then /claim

   Type /v open, and then it will tell you how to get a new res.

   Sorry to tell you, but your res is gone. as you can read here: http://empireminecraft.com/wiki/derelict-policy/ it goes derelict after a set time.
   
   try /v open or look on the live map from your smp# for an open residence and when you find one, do /claim #
