Not everyone has a fast PC. Some users would set up super fast ticking clocks making 2-3 fireworks fire per second, and this would very easily lag some clients. There are also client bugs with fireworks that can crash clients, and firing this fast can trigger that bug a lot easier.
We have no problem with the concept of fishing there, as you can be killed and it can be a game (and hey maybe rewards?!) - the issue is durability hits. We will simply fix the durability issue. I've got important things I HAVE to work on today (migrating mumble and my aikar.co server to a new server), that is extremely high priority (The host has been broken and unable to pay my bill for over a month, so I'm trying to get it off that server before they shut it down by accident and hopefully not have to pay the bill)
