Okay, I am pretty confused over this issue. Sometimes it seems like certain banned players are allowed to play on alts, but others aren't. I'd like to know some clarification on this issue.
It depends on the severity of the crime. Banned players that behave on an alt are often allowed to keep playing on that alt. However, if the player has done something to warrant an IP ban, then their alts will be disallowed from emc. Ip bans are normally used for players that get banned on one account, then come back on and immediately yell at staff/create forum threads demanding to be unbanned, etc.
What do you do if the player has a dynamic IP? I recall that an admin on a Terraria server I used to be a mod on had to ban half of Brazil just to get rid of one griefer
