I need Ubuntu Linux Help

  1. How do i get the minecraft client to work on Ubuntu Linux?

  7. At one point, none of us knew how to use Linux. Some people believe that jumping in with both feet is the best way to learn to swim.

    To the OP, there are countless resources on the Internet that will help you in your evolution to a better OS. I use Ubuntu, and it's actually pretty simple to get it working. You need to have Java first. Most links claim that MC won't work right with Open JDK runtime, but I find that to be untrue. It seems to work exactly the same whether I use Sun Java or Open JDK.

    Other than that, just follow one of the many tutorials you can find when you type "Minecraft on Ubuntu" into Google.
