I recently joined Steam. I dropped about $150 on the summer sale. The Valve pack was one of these. I have two Steam accounts, VividOptimism and VividOptimism1. Try to add me as VividOptimism and we'll see what happens. However I won't be playing anything other than EMC until my mega build is complete (1-2 months).
The steam client is completely free, however, you need to purchase at least one item in the steam store to fully unlock your steam account.. Which they have tons of stuff under $5 that most people buy to unlock their account and being gifted purchased items is considered as a purchase for the term of unlocking your steam account.. I've unlocked a couple of my friends accounts before by gifting them a random game.. xD
