It makes me laugh how even something like a Forum can be turned into a 'game'. When I used to run the largest OFP community website around back in 2002, we had to turn off post counts and awards as people were making posts for points.
Doing that here is against the rules and may get a person banned. According to the rules: Is it really worth the risk?
That is in regards to upping post counts. If you make a 2nd account just to "Like" all of your accounts, that would be grounds for a ban. Having an alt or secondary account is permitted for playing on EMC as long as you follow the guidelines of the Empire Guide and do not use an alt as a means to circumvent being banned.
I myself have 4 accounts all fully paid for, sad thing is I can't remember the name of the fourth lol
