How do you pay other players for work?

  1. I'm not sure what I should be paying other players. When you commonly hire them, what is the job and what do you pay?

What does labor by every 10/30/60 minutes cost?
    Digging/basic tasks?
    Redstone?

    Thx!

  2. I have trust issues with random people. I don't hire workers.

It all depends on how much work the job actually requires and what a person is willing to pay. You should probably work out a price before the person actually starts working.

  3. You pay with rupees.
  4. I haven't played in game for quite some time now, so this is from what I remember.
Digging and basic tasks is normally paid by how many blocks are removed (or created), e.g. 2 layers. So you typically pay someone for how much dirt has been removed, e.g. 600r per layer. (I have no idea if that's actually average).
Red stone is more specialist as it requires more knowledge to make something with redstone, so you would typically pay someone in rupees for the actual job, e.g. 5,000r for creating a redstone farm. (Or you could pay someone by the hour for this).

You will find that some people will be willing to work for very little and some people will want a lot of rupees for the work, depending on how hard the task is.

Depending on the task, you could find people will work for 3,000r an hour, while others will want more towards 10k.

  5. It can range from you pay 1/4 at the start to paying fully once the job is done.

  7. Best thing to is work out a price with the employee. Some people want less and some people want more.
  8. Yeah but what if they're indecisive? I don't want to underpay or overpay.

  9. EMC isnt a perfect market, is kinda subjective to both the employer and the employ opinion, there is no set price

  10. I know. I am asking what other players usually pay so I can pay correctly.

  11. Then make them an offer they can't refuse :D

Thing is: if you hire someone and you're both happy with the provided reward then shouldn't things be ok from there on? Sure, maybe other players pay more (or less!). If they wanted that.. at the risk of sounding harsh: then they should probably have gone to those other players and not you ;)

I wouldn't worry too much. As long as you're thinking it over and try to come up with something which both of you like you should be well ok. Even if you are paying a little less (or more) than other job providers.

  12. I'm don't pay people. I don't hire people either. Tried this once but the player went flat. Didn't lose any rupees, just lost time.
