Hills Alive is a Free 2-3 day outdoor Christian concert. 2017 marks it's 32nd annual concert, which took place at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. (South Dakota) There are many bands packed into 2 days and a short preview of some bands on the Friday before the festivities begin. This year bands and artists such as ; The Afters, Crowder, Blanca, Aaron Shust, Matthew West, and more performed! The outdoor concert is completely free, but every year there is an offering to give money to help pay for expenses. The band's do not play for free, the travel expenses are not paid for free, etc so although its free they always are looking for donations to help the concert stay free in the coming years. There are many other activities as well, for kids there is a section for bouncy houses, balloon animals, and face paints. A ton of food to choose from at the many vendors. And the "product tent" contains all the merchandise for bands you see play there! On Sundays there are also baptisms in the lake behind the stage!
