Help with Schematica on EMC

  1. Howdy folks! I need some insight into the conditions with how schematica is rendered on EMC and what the limits are set to for saving the schematics in relation to the distance from the player. I'm not 100% sure if this is normal or I'm doing it wrong, so I gotta ask. I have an incompleted build that's distributed over 9 plots. (town roads included outside and in between)

Now at first glance, I'm thinking, I can get all of it into one schematic save, however, every attempt at it may only get the chunks closest to me or none at all. So I end up with this empty/broken schematic save. I tried getting it into four large portions of near-equal size, but the same outcome has still shown. I have done this with more than one player in the area to help keep the chunks loaded if that was the issue. No change.

Does it sound like I have a bad file, not allowing the mod to work properly? I don't think this is the case, as I have saved and rebuilt numerous projects all over EMC, on a smaller size without mod errors. Am I trying to push too much data into a single file possibly? What about the server with limits in place on rendering distance, could that be it? I'll keep trying of course, but any light that could be shed on this matter would be incredibly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Does the scmatica say finished before you leave?
And some times you might want to load the chunks while saving them
Also i would save 1 res to 1 scmatica file

  3. Schematica is determined on how many chunks are loaded at one time. So EMC limits that Chunk loading to 6??? Can't remember the number off the top of my head.

I would make parts of what you can render and number them by order when you do a save.

  4. If you want to save / export your residence then I think you should look into WorldDownloader instead. This downloads all the chunks you move through so basically all you have to do is walk around and across a residence and you're done. The save will become a singleplayer Minecraft level which you can immediately load after which you'll have more control over which chunks get automatically loaded or not.

  5. Well, thank you guys for the pointers thus far. I will give them a whirl, especially the WorldDownloader mentioned by ShelL. I’ve never used the world downloader before. Surely if it’s as convenient as it’s described in its capabilities, it’ll be a quick learn with any hope.

@ShelLuser More like a super residence, so I hope it saves it all. I will give it a try. Also I don’t wish just to save and export. I’m building most of the structures in singleplayer creative so I don’t have to think about material count or scaffolding. When everything in my creative world is ready I’ll be adding it altogether over here. But anyway, thank you for the suggestion! ✌️
