They have begun to arrive. The EMC Imperial Legion wants YOU! Wealth, Glory and Fame, all in the name of expansion of the Empire. Our first project is underway now on smp6 to improve the security and safety of all citizens of the Empire. A small recreation of a Roman style Castrum to house the arrival of our first troops. SMP6 Castrum (Military Encampment)Well, they say Rome wasn't built in a day... and I believe them. This construction certainly won't be, BUT with great appreciation to the Boulder, at least the road edits are in. Now construction can begin on the rest of the grounds.
update: Castrum 2016 The four gates are now roughed in, started working on the walls and moat around the perimeter. this is the design I am working towards, but also from actual fotos of ruins
i thought about using Latin, but wanted to keep the EMC instead of LIMC... in any event I didn't know how to translate Minecraft effectively

Now that all the celebrations are over, managed to get to work on the roofs, as well as some of the interior building. Outer walls are completely roughed in, but no detail yet.
Ha! Just finished roughing in the Cavalry stables and horses... and am dealing with horses for the first time... yikes! Gonna be a process to get them all named... owned and ridable. Lot more to this than I had any idea of.
... Now the cavalry is here, some troops starting to man the walls... also have laid the foundation for the Commanding officers house...
Have now finalized the layout of the Commanders house, and added the roof. Due to the release of the new Red nether brick I also redid the roofs of the towers... still lots to do to all the interiors. Trying to make a believable stagecoach is a bit challenging...
