Until the Dragon Tomb updates there is not a way to use the Dragon Stones, putting more and more into the economy and essentially ruining the value and purpose of them. Due to this, when the update is here there will be a huge number of them in the economy, this is why there should be a way to use them to get rid of some of them. I suggest once you get a certain number of them, you can trade them for maybe a special weapon or voucher.
Or wait until they're able to be used and use them for their intended purpose (entering the tomb). Tokens will be used to get custom items.
The reason they were added before the use is so people can gather a bunch, because using them requires more than 1... so its so people can do the next step multiple times and have enough in circulation to buy them too. When part 3 comes out, there will be a massive spike to the economy around the stones. And those who have them will be rewarded greatly if they choose to sell.
