Ya know what is really cool? Those machines that lets you flavor your fountain drinks. They are called coca-cola freestyle. Video 2. I have seen them more and more around. You can choose your 'base' soda, and then add 'flavor' So you can have a grape coke, vanilla coke, etc... Has a touch screen on it even. Flavored fanta, coke, sprite, water, lemonade... and my favorite, powerade. Even wilder, there is a smartphone app where you can select what soda you want and tell the machine what to get you.
Pepsico is a better stock to buy because its diversified in the food business as well, (frito-lays) and management really has all the pistons moving. Global growth seems to be doing good. Poor coca-cola is soley a soda company and has no where else to grow to. All's it can do is think of healthier drinks the world wants, or pay top dollar for other peoples ideas of a good drink. Perhaps coke should go into beer production? That industry is on fire and could use a large competitor after the mega busch-Coors deal goes through.
