What good is it?

From the EMC Wiki:
Zombie Viruses are EMC-exclusive potions that are dropped from regular zombies, Enraged Zombies, and from Momentus. When consumed, the potion gives you the following effects:

• Hunger IV - 0:15
• Slowness IV - 0:20
• Weakness III - 0:20
• Nausea IV - 0:20
• Resistance IV - 0:20
• Blindness IV - 0:20

While many of its effects are negative, it gives the user a blast of Resistance IV, which when combined with strong armor, can make the user nearly invincible. However, drinking the potion will also make it difficult for the user to navigate the terrain, and will require a lot more effort to do a lot of damage.
The Resistance effect does not work within the PvP Arenas.
