Batman isn't a god he is human and constantly fights the urge to cross his own lines. This is why Alfred is so important, Alfred acts as Batman's perfect conscience. After Batman's son kills the guy(as I mentioned earlier) Batman tells him that every time he fights some criminal he remembers his parents, and that he constantly has to fight the urge to do more than his rules allow.
Michael Keaton made a good Batman. Kilmer & Clooney...not so much. Nolan has done a good if not great job with his 2 movies and I think the 3rd will be on par. I do worry about Bane though. He was one of my favorite criminals ever in the comics and I hope the movie version of him doesn't get screwed up like it did in Batman & Robin THIS WASN'T BANE!!! Hopefully this is better Hardy is a good actor and as long as he proves to be the intellectual equivalent to Batman (if not more intelligent) and as long as he beats the h3ll out of the caped crusader, I'll be happy. Take an example from Knightfall Bane and the others wore Batman down & Bane took advantage. I'd love to see something similar in the new movie.
