Part of the fun is finding the end portal... If there was to be a very expensive way to build portals I wouldn't be upset, however I think it's not really a priority. ie place blocks of obsidian in the portal shape and use a specific command, the portal costs 100,000r.
Honestly we have a huge issue in that Eye of Enders don't work on the Frontier... it makes it kind of inconsistent to get to the End. What I think we need to do is have Sr Staff build 1 fake Fortress at every outpost in the Frontier about 1k~ blocks out, so every outpost has one nearby. Then I can do some magic to make eyes of ender find those instead.
