Then to really add a twist the first screen I see after the last restart was a blue sxreen with "Hi" on it. My first thought was I just spent 3 hours installing a virus. After a few minutes "We've got some updates for your PC" appeared and just sat there for a long time. COME ON!!! I just want to get onto Empire!
They need to work on the language used during an update so the poor sap getting the update doesn't feel like they were laughed at and danced upon like dirt that has no say in what happens to MY computer.
Yeah, it's pretty annoying. The weirdest thing is that when you install Windows, you get Cortana talking to you, and saying that you can use either your voice or the keyboard for the rest of the installation. Then immediately after that you get a menu where you CANNOT use the keyboard (at least not in a normal fashion), and have to use the mouse (or your voice). What??
Yeah, the entire Windows system lacks connectivity. As if all of the departments involved with development don't talk out their ideas so it has a better experience for the user.
I enjoy using tech and especially developing apps but I refuse to talk to a device. If Data, from Star Trek, was around I would make an exception. There is already too much noise in the environment. I don't want to hear a family member talking to a computer.
At one point, Microsoft added forced updates to their Surface tablet, which you could only postpone for 15-minutes (!). This was incredibly inconsiderate of them. As much as possible I move away from MS products.
