I got turned off from it at release by all the negative reviews and stuff saying it was boring blahblahblah, but I bought it the other day off eBay for a tenner and something about it has just really clicked for me. It’s like Euro Truck Simulator 2 if ETS2 was a third-person shooter, cinematic, post-apocalyptic, had a plot and had horror elements in it lol
idk, I didn't like it all too much. And that's coming from a fan of walking simulators like Dear Esther, Stanley Parable, Life is Strange(?), and Edith Finch.
I’m about 12-13 hours in now and yeah it’s starting to really bore me. Most games would be beginning to wrap up at this point but this game has literally only just introduced me to the main villain and I’ve only just become settled into the world.
Problem now is I get to hear A-list actors recite the most contrived dialogue ever in overdrive and I’ve noticed that this game takes itself SUPER seriously and it’s annoying. I had this same problem with MGSV but that game had a lot more to it than ‘go point A to point B’ and was also super campy which Death Stranding is the antithema of
Also I want to kill Die Hardman. Boring as hell character. In fact the only characters I like are Fragile and Higgs and the latter is the dude the game wants me to kill.... but I don’t wanna because he’s cool
